Raised in the Andalucia region of southern Spain, in a village where the rugged cactus desert touches the azul Mediterranean Sea, José was introduced from an early age to the traditional methods of furniture making and design through his father, Miguel, a craftsman and cabinet maker.
In Almería and Granada, José specialised in making and installing kitchens, wardrobes, bathrooms vanities and furniture for residential and commercial interiors. He also developed a fine appreciation for the detailed and artistic touch required for individual furniture pieces.
Now building his life here in Brisbane with his Australian wife Nicole, young son Javier, and baby daughter Lorca, José offers his years of professional experience to fuse together the more classic and artisan techniques with a contemporary approach — at an Australian recognised standard. He greatly values the lifestyle of Australia and enjoys treating the relaxed furniture style here with a European accent.
José loves working closely with clients' ideas — whether it be on a complete renovation, starting from a blank canvas, a new look, or a modification. He can translate an idea into a stylish and functional interior space that adds capital value and intelligently maximises the space in a home, investment property or commercial interior.
